We've gotten a slew of inquiries about the poster documentary recently, so we decided to set up this mighty-fine blog to keep y'all informed.
Filming has (mostly) wrapped (some interviews still pending). A huge, huge, THANK YOU to all the poster artists, printers, authors, collectors, and general enthusiasts we spoke with. We felt extremely honored to have such heartfelt responses, and to be given a bit of time from your busy schedules.
Highlights from the filming included: (in no particular order) bunny ears at Chuck and Ron's, complete destruction of Frank's blinds, philosophical lunch conversation with Judy and Jeff, general nonsense with Jay and Mat, Flatstock, Jermaine's crazy town, Winston's beer-drinking cat, mind-blowing tour of WV, following Art through two states, EMEK's secluded paradise, Grushkin's equally secluded paradise, Mouse (need we say more), finally meeting Victor (again, need we say more), the secret room behind D.King Gallery (ask Mr. Imagine), TRPS, Artrock, COOP's ride, Arminski and Detroit, "How To" with Andy S., sweating our ass off at MM's, Lindsey's new ramp, interviewing in the middle of renovation with Scrojo, sneaking the cam into Kinkos with SW, hemp and oil talk with Pollock, Letterpress "How To" with Jim and Kevin / Julie, Hampton and Seattle, Derek and his animals, Gary's kindness, Jello, Penelope, The Fillmore, meeting Clay, memorabilia in the basement with MG, Tara and Brooklyn, and for the first time in our history, having a tape in our library labeled "Stainboy".

Yeah for rubylith! I still buy that stuff for my illustrations. Last time I had to go to three art stores to find it and the guy behind the counter made fun of me. Then the lady standing next to me at the cashier asked, "Do people still use that stuff?" So I bought about 50 huge sheets from some guy on Ebay and now I have enough for the rest of my life...
Anyway...film sounds interesting!
